Mountain Bluebells Summer Programs
We are excited to offer primarily outdoor-based Summer Care each year.
Starting in early June, after a short break from school year programming, Mountain Bluebells Summer Care embraces our short but beautiful summer season by spending as much time as possible outside. Our days will honor the spirit of the season as we plant, harvest, and taste foods from our garden, take daily nature walks, grow bean-pole teepees and sunflower houses, enjoy outdoor games and crafts, and embrace lots of water play. We soak up the sun (and relax in the shade) all day except for indoor rest time and periods of inclement weather.
Mountain Bluebells is a fully-licensed group day care facility with an emphasis on Waldorf-inspired curriculum. All staff are certified in child & infant CPR and first aid and partake in ongoing early childhood education & development through LifeWays North America as well as local HRDC
trainings. Most importantly, we all love nurturing children! Our staff-to-child ratio never exceeds 1:6.
Summer Care is available Mondays through Fridays, with half-day and full-day options. Care is contracted on a month-to-month basis with payment due at the beginning of each month. We have space for up to 12 children at any time and can accommodate ages 3months to 7years old. Summer programming ends two weeks before school year programming starts.
At Mountain Bluebells, we value nutritious, locally grown (often from our own garden) and organic
foods. Our fee schedule includes snack and lunch for morning care and snack for afternoon care. We
honor special diets and will work with parents to establish appropriate dietary plans for each child,
however parents are responsible for providing any foods outside of our normal meal plans.
Space is limited and we currently have a waitlist, so apply soon to assure you will be contacted when we have openings.
